National Landscapes Association

The Challenge

The National Landscapes Association recently underwent a significant rebrand. They moved away from "traditional pretty scenery" to focus on the tangible value of their work: the people, the decisions, and the environmental impact.

However, their visual identity hadn't yet caught up. While they had plenty of landscape shots, they lacked human-centric imagery. For a charity looking to engage funders, partners, and local communities, this lack of human connection was a barrier. To secure support, they needed their marketing assets to feel alive, relatable, and mission-driven.

The Approach

At Kins Photographic, we believe in the power of visual impact to drive social change. Each year, we select one pro bono project for a charity where our work can make a genuine difference. After reaching out to the National Landscapes Association, it was clear this was the perfect fit.

The objective was clear: create professional brand photography that supports funding bids, PR, and corporate communications. We designed a multi-location shoot centered around a team day in the field, focusing on:

- Professional Leadership Portraits

- Documentary-style "In-the-field" Imagery

- Collaborative Team Interactions

The Shift

The shift was transformative. The imagery moved away from static landscapes and began to tell the story of the work happening within those spaces. By highlighting the "why" behind the organization, the photos became strategic marketing assets rather than just pictures.

As a commercial photographer serving London and the South East, I understand that for non-profits, every image must work hard to build trust and demonstrate impact. We didn't just take photos; we built a visual language for their future.

The Outcome

The National Landscapes Association now has a bespoke image library that reflects their true identity. They are seen as more human, more relatable, and far more effective in high-level conversations with stakeholders and funders.

This project proved that when authentic storytelling meets a clear mission, the results can be a catalyst for growth.

Kind Words

"Sophie is pure sunshine. She spent time understanding our charitable values and objectives to give us the most professional and authentic storytelling photos. On the shoot day, she was amazingly flexible... bringing energy and enthusiasm that made us all feel at ease. The results are so much more than a bunch of beautiful photos; they will make a huge difference to our mission."
