Bullhorn Engage Boston

Conference Photography Built for Marketing

When Bullhorn asked us to fly from London to Boston to photograph Engage 2026, their annual customer conference, we were thrilled. It's not every day a client brings their photographer across the Atlantic, and it said a lot about how seriously they take their imagery.

Engage Boston is a huge event, bringing together more than 1,000 people from Bullhorn's community over two days in May. With the theme Run with the Bold, Bullhorn wanted corporate event photography that felt every bit as ambitious and energetic as the conference itself.

The Challenge

Bullhorn wanted to go beyond traditional conference photography that simply records what happened. Their marketing team needed a bold, immersive library of images they could use long after the event, with photography that captured the atmosphere, the people and the experience of actually being there.

The Approach

Bullhorn understood the value strong imagery brings as a marketing asset, and they were willing to invest in a more strategic approach to get the most out of it.

We planned the conference photography around the story rather than simply following the running order, working with a priority list of must-have shots and moments we'd capture if time allowed. We also made sure we were creating a balance of wide, mid-range and portrait images, including compositions with room for copy and hero shots suitable for websites, campaigns and banners.

With one photographer covering two ten-hour days, there was no single moment to wait for. The keynotes mattered, of course, but so did the conversations over coffee, the sponsors chatting to customers, the reactions in the audience and the celebrations at the end of each day. Our job was to anticipate those moments and be in the right place to capture as many of them as possible.

The Impact

Engage didn't feel like a conference. It felt like a community having a brilliant time together, right through to the final night with a thousand people on the dance floor.

Bullhorn came away with a library of conference imagery designed to work across their marketing, communications and future event promotion, giving the team much more than a record of what happened over those two days.

And we're delighted to say we've already been booked to do it all again in 2027.

Emily Colman, Senior Events Marketing Manager:

“Sophie is, without question, the best photographer I’ve worked with.”

And as Natalia Vidmar, Senior Director, Global Events at Bullhorn, puts it:

“She instinctively knows where to be, what moments matter, and how to capture the energy, people, and story of an event.”

Not every event has one big moment. The best ones have hundreds, and knowing how to capture them is what turns event photography into something your marketing team can keep using long after everyone has gone home.

If you're planning a large corporate event or conference, whether in the UK or internationally, we'd love to hear about it.
